Our Pay Package
- Starting Salary of $1400.00 a week. Performance reviews with opportunity for raises after 3 months of employment.
- Approved home time is paid at your regular salary. For every week you are out, you’ll be given one day of Paid Time Off.
- Monthly Bonuses up to $1900.00. Once you get to 11,000 miles on the month, you will earn $40.00 every 100 miles! Here is a more general breakdown below:
- 11,000 miles a month will earn you an extra $300.00
- 12,000 miles a month will earn you an extra $700.00
- 13,000 miles a month will earn you an extra $1100.00
- 14,000 miles a month will earn you an extra $1500.00
- 15,000 miles a month will earn you an extra $1900.00
- Miles per gallon bonus of $100.00 a month.
- Idle bonus of $100.00 if extended idle time is less than 8%
Driver Benefits
- Riders allowed day 1. They must be 12 years of age or older.
- Pets allowed day 1- We allow pets with a $500.00 deposit per pet (2 maximum) that is payroll deductible. Cats are not permitted.
- Annual Longevity bonus of $.01 per mile for all mile’s driven in the last 12 months.
- Annual Anniversary bonus:
- 1-2 years: 1 week
- 3-5 years: 2 weeks
- 6+ years: 3 weeks

- You are eligible to enroll in our 401K program after one year. Great Plains Transport will match all contributions up to 4%. The vesting is 100% for employee deferrals and for the safe harbor contributions if the plan were to contribute a profit-sharing.

Driver Referral Program: “Penny Forever!”
Here at Great Plains Transport, we are going a unique route with our Driver Referral Program. This program has been titled the “Penny Forever Program.”
For every driver you refer, you and that driver will earn $.01 per mile for every mile they drive. This bonus will be paid out monthly for as long as you both are employed by Great Plains Transport. This can add up to over $1300.00 extra at the end of the year, in addition to your salary and mileage bonuses.
There is no limit to how many drivers you can help recruit as part of this program. Whether you recruit one, two, or 10 drivers — you’ll get an extra penny for every mile each of them drives.
Please Note: Referred drivers must have at least 1 year of verifiable driving experience to work at Great Plains Transport.

- Valid CDL
- One year or 125,000 miles verifiable
- Must be at least 23 years old
- Willing to drive all 48 states
- Willing to drive up to 3,000+ miles per week
- Willing to drive overnights.

Safety Resources For The Road..
Dan Krueger is the Director of Safety at Great Plains Transport. Since 2003, Dan had worked as a Highway Patrol officer for the Department of Transportation, overseeing FMCSA audits and roadside inspections. In 2019, he moved to a position as Safety Director at a pipeline company, where he stayed until joining Great Plains in 2021. Dan points to the variety of people he’s been able to meet and get to know as the reason he has stayed in the field this long.
Dan won numerous awards for excellence and thoroughness during his time as an inspector. These include fifth place in the Level 1 Division of the North American Inspector’s Championship and the North Dakota Colonel’s Coin.
